Matrix Energy Limited specialises in the oil and gas downstream sector. The main range of activities includes trades in refined hydrocarbon products such as PMS, AGO, DPK, ATK and by-product Bitumen, oil terminals operations, haulage, coastal/offshore logistics support, distribution and petroleum product retailing.

In Matrix Energy we recognise that our activities have environmental impacts and that it is our responsibility to manage these impacts in a manner that contributes to the sustainable development of our economy and provides a high level of protection for our natural environment.

This statement of our Environmental Policy commits us to:

• Conduct our activities and those undertaken on our behalf in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all applicable legal and other requirements and company policies and standards;
• Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce in advance.
• Review our environmental programme annually to ensure continual improvement in our environmental performance and to provide a framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets;
• Make continuous efforts to maximise the energy efficiency of our business, and reduce emissions of all kinds, examples of this include:
  Administrative control of switching off electrical appliances while closing for each day in all office areas
  Using only energy saving bulbs where possible
• Minimise the production of all wastes as far as practicable, promptly recover all litter found at business locations and dispose of all residual wastes in a safe and responsible manner., examples of this include:
  Use of water dispensers in all offices to reduce plastic wastes
  Reduce Paper billing, and office activities where possible
• Provide adequate resources to minimise environmental risks and to prevent pollution
• Minimise significant environmental risks and have emergency response plans in place to address major environmental hazards
• Develop and maintain effective environmental management and audit systems
• Promote environmental awareness to staff, contractors and our suppliers
• Provide the necessary training and support to staff on environmental matters
• Make this policy statement available to all staff, contractors and all interested stakeholders
