Fred studied Mathematics at the premier University of Ibadan. He is a certified ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 lead auditor.

Before joining Matrix, he worked with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) of Nigeria for over two decades, where he served in various Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) capacities. He jointly pioneered the operationalization of Shell Nigeria Production Swamp West HSE Cases.

He is currently the Group Head, HSSE, responsible for ensuring Matrix Energy operates safely to achieve Goal Zero.
